TOPIC: COMMUNICATION
Sexual health promotion
Sexual health services should be accessible to everybody, but not everybody is aware of the services provided. Staff should take every opportunity to publicise sexual health issues in their practices and in their communities, through the use of creative education campaigns, eye-catching printed materials promoting equality of access, and, where necessary, outreach work with target communities.
During consultations with patients, health professionals should seek opportunities to raise relevant sexual health topics and should provide an open and non-judgemental attitude to sexual health.
